Over the course of her career, Elyse S. Goldweber has honed her legal skills as a trial advocate. For more than 30 years, she has focused her practice exclusively on matrimonial law, family law, and dissolution of business partnerships.
Prior to establishing Goldweber Epstein LLP in 1995, Elyse S. Goldweber was the partner entrusted with running the Litigation Department at Olshan Frome Wolosky. She served as a clinical instructor at NYU School of Law from for 13 years. 1974 to 1987. From 1976 to 1978, she was an attorney for the SEC's Division of Enforcement. She served as Assistant Director of the Institution of Judicial Administration, Inc. from 1978 through the end of 1980. Before that, she worked at the New York State Moreland Act Commission on the Urban Development Corporation and Other State Financing Agencies from 1974 to 1975. She began her career as a trial attorney for the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division's Fair Housing Section, a position she held from 1972 to 1974.
She is licensed to practice in New York State, Trial and Appellate Courts, and Federal Courts. She was admitted to the Bar for New York State, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second and Sixth Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
Elyse currently is a member of several family law committees. As a member of the Women's Bar Association, she currently serves on the Family Law Committee. Moreover, she is an active member of the Family Law section of the New York State and American Bar Associations. As a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, she has served on the Federal Courts Committee and is currently serving on the Matrimonial Committee.
